    Bad Ads at the Superbowl?

I tried as much as I could to watch the Superbowl yesterday even though my kids were giving me a hard time. Today I saw a review of the worst ads from the superbowl on Wired. As someone pointed out in the comments sections it is hard to understand how a writer could complain about the sexism in some of the ads when he was watching a violent game. Especially the reoccurring theme of 'My kids had to watch them' is so misplaced and annoying that one should think that must hurt.

Isn't it funny that sexy ads in which nothing is to see are condemned because a poor kid could see it. It seems that sex is so dirty, sinful and out of the question in the US that nobody would have kids anyhow.

I also don't agree with the review in the sense that some of the ads were bad; actually all of them were bad but that is the nature of the medium itself. So all of the ads were bad - some just a little bit worse. This means that my kids did not suffer because of sexism or even the violence of the game but by willfully interaction between Sport, Big Business and the TV Stations to make my kids brainless consumers. But one day in an entire year is not going to spoil them rotten and today it is back to ad-free or reduced ad TV station for my kids and I will go into hibernation until next Fall.

    Cheers - Andy
